This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am fortunate to teach a group of incredible students who are not only dedicated to their academic growth but also to supporting one another in every aspect of their lives. What makes my students special is their resilience and determination to succeed, even when faced with challenges outside the classroom. They understand the importance of being prepared for school, and this extends beyond just having the right supplies—it includes feeling comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

The items I am requesting, such as pads, deodorant, hand sanitizer, lotion, makeup essential, and toothbrushes, are essential for maintaining personal hygiene and ensuring that my students can focus on their studies without distractions.

These resources will help them feel more confident and self-assured, knowing they have access to what they need to take care of themselves. For instance, providing mascara and gel allows them to feel polished and presentable, while having hand sanitizer and lotion ensures they can maintain cleanliness and comfort throughout the day.

My goal for this project is to create a supportive environment where every student feels valued and prepared to engage fully in their education. By addressing their basic needs, I hope to remove any barriers that might prevent them from achieving their best. These students are truly remarkable in their ability to persevere, and with these hygiene products, they can focus on what really matters—learning, growing, and thriving in school.
