My Project
I am reaching out to seek your support in obtaining furniture and devices that will greatly enhance the speech therapy services I provide to my majority minority and low-income high school students. These students face various challenges, and access to quality therapy is crucial in helping them develop the communication skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
A bookshelf will allow me to organize my materials and showcase their activities I have available for the students to use.
The portable monitor will allow me to deliver more dynamic and interactive therapy sessions, whether working one-on-one or in small groups. With this tool, I can present visual aids, exercises, and real-time feedback more effectively, which will significantly improve the students' engagement and progress in therapy.
Having these resources will not only make the therapy more effective but also encourage students to participate more actively in sessions. When therapy is engaging and accessible, students are more likely to attend regularly, feel motivated, and establish a stronger rapport with me as their therapist. This connection is vital in helping them feel supported and confident in their journey toward better communication.
