Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my CLDE classroom (Culturally Linguistically Diverse Education) students prepare for the ACCESS test, which measures their progress in all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. They also use Lexia to build their English knowledge.
This project aims to remove barriers for my diverse students, empowering them to focus, build confidence, and showcase their true potential through technology.
Since ACCESS and Lexia are taken on a computer, headphones are essential to help my students focus and fully engage in activities that require careful listening and verbal responses. Therefore, having a mouse will make navigation easier, especially for tasks that require dragging, clicking, and typing.
These simple tools will make a huge difference in their learning experience, helping them succeed in class, the test, and beyond.
