Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love how eager and determined my Algebra 1 students are to learn and grow, even when faced with challenges. Many of them come from diverse backgrounds, and while some may struggle with traditional teaching methods, they possess a unique resilience and curiosity. They bring fresh perspectives and an undeniable enthusiasm for technology, making it the perfect tool to help them grasp abstract algebraic concepts.
The iPads will be transformative for my students.
Algebra 1 is a foundational subject, and mastering its concepts opens the door to future success in mathematics and beyond. The iPads will provide access to interactive math apps that will allow students to visualize and manipulate algebraic equations, making abstract concepts more tangible. Tools like graphing apps will help them understand how equations behave visually, strengthening their comprehension. The instant feedback from practice problems will ensure that students can learn from their mistakes in real-time, building both their skills and confidence.
My goal for this project is to foster an engaging and personalized learning environment where every student can succeed. The iPads will allow me to tailor lessons to individual needs, helping students progress at their own pace. Whether it’s using educational videos, interactive tutorials, or digital note-taking, the iPads will allow for a variety of learning styles, keeping students engaged and motivated.
What makes my students special is their perseverance. They may face obstacles, but they never give up. By integrating technology into their learning, we can build on their strengths and provide them with the tools they need to excel in Algebra 1 and beyond.
