My Students
I am learning how to more effectively implement technology in my classroom. In an attempt to empower twenty-first century learners, frequently the main difficulty is the lack of technology available in the classroom. Students today play, learn, and make sense of the world around them with technology in their everyday lives. Please, don't allow my students to have this limitation in their education. Please help my students to be able to learn in a way that is more comfortable and suitable to their everyday life.
My Project
Already with DonorsChoose, I have acquired five Chromebooks. As of now, they have yet to arrive, but I am sure they will be a welcomed addition to the classroom environment. The use of technology, in an effective manner, will help the students learn in a way they do in the real world. With the use of these Chromebooks, students will be able to learn with technology as opposed to with the absence of technology. However, to optimize their learning experience and efficiency, a perfect world would allow me to have three more Chromebooks. Having eight would be perfect for allowing my students to work in uniform groups of four students each. These Chromebooks will allow for a smooth transition in implementing more technology or Google classroom-based lessons that are better suited for students of the 21st century. I want my students to understand the importance of cooperating with one another on projects of all sizes that use the appropriate technology.
