This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The middle school girls at Perry Street Prep are vibrant, thoughtful, and eager to grow into confident leaders. They bring creativity, resilience, and curiosity to every conversation. This project is designed to affirm their identities and empower their voices.

Graphic novels by underrepresented authors will help students see themselves in the stories they read, encouraging literacy and self-reflection.

Bracelet-making kits will foster teamwork and promote positive peer relationships. SEL stickers will reinforce emotional expression and self-love during group activities. Tumbler cups will create a sense of unity and pride, helping to build a strong, supportive group culture.

Each resource plays a key role in supporting academic, emotional, and social growth through culturally relevant learning experiences. Together, these tools will help nurture strong, empowered young ladies ready to lead with confidence and purpose.
