My Project

My students are truly special because they each bring unique perspectives, strengths, and challenges to the learning environment. Many of them may struggle with traditional forms of communication and social interaction, making it essential to provide them with tools that cater to their individual needs.

This project will have a significant impact on them by offering daily mood tracker journals, which can help bridge the gap in emotional expression.

These journals provide a structured and safe way for students to articulate their feelings, recognize emotional patterns, and develop self-regulation strategies.

For many students on the autism spectrum, understanding and managing emotions can be particularly challenging. By encouraging them to reflect on their moods, we can foster greater self-awareness and empower them to communicate their needs more effectively.

Moreover, this project promotes a sense of routine and predictability, which can be comforting for students. As they engage with the journals, they will not only enhance their emotional literacy but also build confidence in their ability to navigate their feelings.
