My Project
My students are soaring with curiosity and a love for technology. They're quick learners who often go above and beyond to explore new skills, especially when it comes to tech. The drone club gives them a high-flying opportunity to channel that energy into something creative and hands-on. These students don’t just follow instructions—they take off on their own, eager to master anything from flight mechanics to photo editing, simply because they love learning. They often stay after school to keep exploring and ask thoughtful questions that show how deeply they care about growing their skills. With access to drones, their enthusiasm will only continue to take flight.
Imagine students capturing epic aerial footage of school events—all filmed, flown, and edited by them.
Whether they’re filming a pep rally, creating a music video, or experimenting with video-based artwork, they’ll be learning to hover, frame, and edit with purpose. These projects will lift their skills in storytelling, teamwork, and media production, giving them real-world experience that’s as fun as it is educational. They’ll also learn to plan, storyboard, and direct projects from start to finish—skills that translate to many future careers. Seeing their own drone footage featured at assemblies or on social media will give them a boost of pride and motivation.
Drones bring a whole new altitude to learning. This project will let students fly into the future of digital media, helping them discover new passions while building confidence and technical skills. They’ll learn how to be responsible pilots and thoughtful artists, all while having a sky-high good time. Even students who may not see themselves as “tech-savvy” often soar when given a chance like this. With drones, learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom—it truly takes off.
