Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from a small town deep in the heart of South Texas that was greatly affected by Hurricane Harvey. Even though many of them come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds and lost everything in the hurricane, their resilience and bravery allows them to still come to school every day with smiles on their faces that show us they are ready to learn.

They are imaginative, compassionate, considerate, curious and full of questions!

They absolutely love hands-on and engaging projects that challenge them to think outside the box. They bravely come to school each day ready to try new things and take chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are our inspiration!

My Project

The EMPOWER Educators Conference is a two-day event of celebrating and empowering educators at all levels! In this one-room celebration, six career-changing keynotes will send the teachers off into their best school year ever!

The all-star Eduhero lineup of Ron Clark, Jimmy Casas, Hamish Brewer, Kayla Delzer, Todd Nesloney, Joe Dombrowski, and speaker and host Misty Malone will have teachers inspired, motivated and overloaded with ready to implement tools and resources!

This conference is meant to recognize and EMPOWER educators in appreciation of who they are and what they do every day, with words and praises from the best of the best!

I am looking forward to attending, but I am also looking forward to being able to return to my school and empower other educators with my newfound knowledge. These funds I am requesting will cover my conference registration and lodging for the conference. Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to consider donating towards my project!
