My Project

This project is to honor things I know will increase functionality, some sensory seekers, and the need for a clean classroom. I'm so excited to wrap this school year up and start the next one off strong. I want students to remember me as an educator who empowered them and made connections with their feelings but also supported them in what they needed. This project is also to acknowledge the need to replace materials that have been damaged this school year in the classroom. It also includes incentives for responsible, safe, and respectful students. Students will use and benefit from the requested resources that will enhance our classroom experience including new desk chair and floor seating mat (because who say's classroom mats are just for kindergarten??). The students will use and benefit from the office chair and the Active Pen I’ve requested because they will be used to enhance the classroom experience for planning and instruction. The classroom's old office chair will be turned into a help seat during differentiated instruction. I'm also requesting updated technology so that our classroom can sustain our learning during small group and computer-based instruction. I want to equip the classroom with items that will help students feel more comfortable and acknowledge sensory and learning needs. The fidget toys with letters will be great for the readers who struggle and learn through play. The TPT card will be used to purchase more phonics materials and materials for struggling students. Our school building is older and the classroom can get very hot so fans are necessary. The diffuser helps maintain good smells in the stuffy classroom. The snacks, decorations, markers, calendar all help increase FUNctionality. Lastly, our school staff is short of custodians so having classroom cleaning material helps keep the floors clean after eating.
