it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, determined Latina young women who deserve every opportunity to succeed. However, many struggle with access to basic feminine hygiene products, which directly impacts their confidence, comfort, and ability to focus in class. Too often, students come to me asking if I have any pads, liners, or tampons they can have. I do my best to keep some in my desk drawer, but the need is greater than what I can personally provide.
When students don’t have access to period products, they may feel embarrassed, distracted, or even miss class altogether.
No student should have to choose between their education and managing a natural bodily function. By supplying these essential items, we are ensuring that our students can stay engaged, confident, and focused on their learning.
This project is about more than just providing products—it’s about promoting equity, dignity, and a supportive school environment. When students know they have access to what they need, they can focus on their studies rather than worrying about something so basic.
My goal is to create a safe, inclusive space where students feel supported in all aspects of their well-being. With your help, we can eliminate a small but significant barrier to learning and show our students that their needs matter.
