This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are adorable and young students who receive early childhood special education services. Most students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. All of my students in the class have IEPs for special education. Their eligibilities include Autism, speech and language impairment, development delays, and intellectual disorders. The class is working on social-emotional development, language development, cognitive development, and physical development, including fine motor skills, music, art, physical activities, letter recognition, pre-reading skills, and pre-writing skills.

Despite their disabilities and current physical school closure, my students are highly motivated and ready to learn.

They enjoy coming to virtual school every day and love learning and exploring. I wish to provide everything possible for them to maximize their joy of learning.

My Project

Build Me Emotions will allow my students to explore emotions and physical characteristics in a fun and engaging way. As children collaborate on a range of character building experiences, they recognize feelings and identify similarities and differences. Building cards provide support and inspiration so children can continue to build and rebuild characters again and again!

Students will engage in various activities to learn about their own emotions and others' feelings and emotions.

This project will help the students to develop their language and social emotional skills as they engage with these materials.
