Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing SEL and autism-focused resources will equips me with strategies to support my students in reducing stress and improving classroom management. We will use the books to builds empathy, teaches emotions, and models social situations. Timers will help promotes emotional regulation, transitions, and independence. Offering a weighted teddy bear in a calm corner or during independent work. Let students hold it when they feel overwhelmed. Journal writing will help me encourage self-reflection, expression of feelings, and mindfulness.

When SEL is integrated with autism education, it helps neurotypical students understand and accept their autistic peers, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect in the classroom.

I want all my students to feel included and welcomed.
