My Students
I am a Kindergarten teacher in a Title I building. My developmental classroom is a diverse population of students that speak English, Spanish and French. Most of the students are learning to adjust to an all day Kindergarten program. Academically, all of the students are working on reading, writing, and counting skills. The children love to learn especially through songs and movement.
We are a neighborhood school and often have generations of families who choose to be a part of our school family.
My Project
Students will use the LCD tablets in whole group learning as well as small group literacy centers. They will practice writing their names, letters, high frequency words, simple sentences and a variety of phonics activities as they become fluent readers and writers. The tablets can also be used in math learning as students form numbers and solve equations on their tablets.
The students will be so excited to have a new interactive way of learning.
Dry erase boards are great, however, the boards have to be replaced year after year and the markers can be very costly and somewhat messy. Reusable LCD writing tablets will eliminate the mess and reduce the cost of consumable writing materials while encouraging my students to write.
