Emergency Hygiene Needs

My students need basic hygiene items so they can feel their best at school. When they feel their best, they will be more confident and ready to learn.

My Students

My students are from a Title 1 school in North Philadelphia. Most are living in a single parent, grandparent or foster parent home. I teach grades K-7 and interact with every student. They are curious, have lots of energy and always eager to try something new.

Most of the students I teach are living with trauma.

Many have mental health or emotional issues that require counseling or a one on one aid in school. Phys Ed class is the place they can express themselves through movement, have fun, and spend some of their anxious energy.

My Project

Many of my students do not have access to basic hygiene items. Because of this they can be bullied at school, have trouble focusing and acting out.

Our school does not have a budget for these items so I am requesting emergency help for my students to feel their best and be confident when they are learning.

They will be able to focus more freely without worrying about their hygiene.

When students feel good about themselves, they will feel good about learning and being part of the school community. Please help my students feel their best, we really appreciate it!
