Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As students get older, they start noticing the differences in one self and others. In my classroom I have noticed a big unknown for embracing differences and learning about our history.
With this project, my students will have diversity books that explain what anti-racist means and looks like in the world. This will allow students to make a deeper connection and break biases we can often have. Students will be able to do a book analysis project that will highlight how and why these books are important for other scholars to read and learn from.
