Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Creating a classroom environment that is welcoming and embracing all students, allows them to be comfortable and feel good about participation. I plan to use the items in class by creating an environment for students who feel shy and reserved to share their feelings. Small group teachings allow students to get to know each other and share their feelings in a supportive classroom. When students feel comfortable, it creates a safe place for them. The items ordered will allow me to create a calm and safe classroom. This includes the sofa, the bean bag chair, snacks, board games, and much more.
The much-needed help for DonorsChoose will serve and impact a Title 1 middle school.
Students with emotional concerns will feel comfortable and welcomed in a safe area. Feeling comfortable will allow students to express their emotions. Social Emotional Learning classes will be taught and teach students about their choices and behavior.
