This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Kindergarteners love exploring books and are so eager to become readers. They have been working hard strengthening their knowledge of letter/ sounds relationships and applying that knowledge to decode words. Decodable readers will provide additional support by giving them the opportunity to utilize the decoding skills they are working on in the classroom.
With these new decodable books, my students will be able to reinforce the skills they are working on, which will allow them to read independently and become successful readers.
These books will have an enormous impact on their reading abilities and their confidence as readers. This in turn will cultivate a love of reading...a crucial necessity for long-life learners.
