Elevating the ELA Experience through Engaging Literacy Lessons

My Project

As a first-year ELA middle school teacher, I want to learn as much as possible about how to build a culturally responsive, differentiated classroom that fosters critical thinking and engagement for all students, including English Learners. I also want access to up-to-date resources that students will enjoy using and that elevate their learning experience in the classroom.

Teachers Pay Teachers is an online tool for educators to find new ways to reach students through high-level content, worksheets, and novel studies, with materials created by teachers for teachers.

The resources from Teachers Pay Teachers are standards-focused, creative, subject-based, grade-level appropriate, relevant, highly appealing, and can help maximize student engagement. They will help me provide better differentiation, individualized instruction, and enhanced social-emotional/literacy support.
