it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Les Paul is more than just a guitar—it’s a symbol of excellence that will inspire and elevate our Music Club. When we launched in March 2024, many students had never even held a guitar, let alone played one of this caliber. I’ve been playing music for over 25 years, and even I have never owned an instrument of this value. A guitar like this will introduce students to professional-level sound and craftsmanship, deepening their appreciation for music while pushing their skills to new heights.
This Les Paul will primarily be a performance instrument, transforming our live shows and giving students a world-class experience on stage.
While select students may practice with it under special circumstances, it will serve as a centerpiece in our concerts, enhancing stage presence, sound quality, and engagement. This guitar will pair seamlessly with the amplifier and guitar cabinet from our other projects, allowing students to explore the nuances of different instruments and develop a refined musical expression. More than just an instrument, it will serve as a motivator and reward, encouraging students to dedicate time and effort to their craft in hopes of earning the privilege to play it on stage.
Beyond individual performances, the Les Paul will create a lasting legacy in our Music Club, benefiting students for years to come. As we expand beyond school-wide events into benefit concerts, fundraisers, and interdisciplinary collaborations, this guitar will help elevate our shows to a professional level. By offering students the opportunity to perform on an instrument of this caliber, we’re not just improving our sound—we’re building confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music.
