My Project
Thank you so much for valuing and supporting the efforts to normalize behavioral health as a priority! I work in an elementary school in an urban neighborhood. I am a social worker for a school of over 600 students. There are numerous students who experience difficulty understanding, expressing and coping with their emotions for a variety of reasons. These resources would allow me to provide them engaging material to deepen their understanding of what their feelings are, validate these feelings and identify strategies to manage challenging feelings. I work with students in group and individual counseling sessions. Kids always engage better when materials are colorful, relatable and tangible. Additionally I can loan the resources out to other educators in the school to use in classrooms. Thank you again for your consideration in my efforts!
