Elementary Summer Explorer Kits

Help me give my students a summer slide kit to continue exploring math, science, and reading at home! Students will each take home their own kit with tools to explore and learn over the summer break.

My Project

Students often have limited access to learning materials over the summer, leading to the dreaded "summer slide" where students lose progress over break.

Help us give our students the tools they need to practice, explore, and develop their skills over the summer-wherever they are!

With these materials, students will take home a backpack with

-flashcards made in class from cardstock

-pencils and crayons for recording their summer adventures and discoveries

-a magnifying glass to look deeply at bugs, electronics, or other discoveries

-books donated from our school to encourage summer reading

-a notebook to be personalized by their classroom teacher with activities, writing prompts, and science experiments to try!

Each student will also get to decorate their own backpack for their summer adventures in class to take home. Each kit will also come with a parent guide for helping your student to get the most of their kit and tips to make summer learning fun!
