My classroom is home to nine amazing elementary students with complex learning needs. Each of my students has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and learns in unique ways. The materials in this project will help build early literacy, communication, and sensory regulation skills through engaging, hands-on activities. Items like Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom story props, and CVC word games will make literacy come alive for my students as they explore letters, sounds, and stories in fun, meaningful ways. Switch-adapted toys and sensory lights, such as the bubble machine and jellyfish lamp, will support attention, engagement, and emotional regulation throughout the day. My goal with these resources is to make my students feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn every day.
