My Project
COVID-19 has severely affected students' ability to perform hands-on STEM experiments that involve and encourage problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
Students will use:
Glo Germ Gel to compare hand-washing effectiveness.
AA and AAA batteries for microscopes and black lights.
Rubber bands, straws, craft sticks, aluminum sheets and masking tape for engineering projects.
Baking soda and vinegar for chemical reactions.
Pinto and lima beans, sandwich bags, and paper towels for classroom grown plant experiments.
Flexible straws for various air pressure experiments that can be done with other recycled materials from home.
This classroom project was brought to life by Hawai'i State Department of Education.
