This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a low income elementary school in Chino, California.
Our low income elementary schools love our library and the library books.
Because the books are so loved, the binding begins to pull apart and the pages come out of the books. The books need repair and I try to glue each page by hand to fix the book which takes me hours and the repair does not last. By acquiring a thermal book binding machine, I will be able to repair the books (we currently have over 10 that are in need of repair) quickly so the students can enjoy them as soon as possible. The book binding machine will repair the books to their original new state.
The machine will save money by repairing books that we do not have to replace.
