I am a first year elementary music teacher at a large title 1 school in Oklahoma. I have over 500 students in grades K-5th who come to my class to sing, dance, create, play instruments, and learn music concepts.
My students would benefit from having a nice rug to sit on for story time and to use for music games.
I plan to use it for story time, games, and to help provide a visual/kinesthetic aid when learning music concepts. I particularly like that this rug has a big music staff in the middle and I plan on using bean bags and letting students "compose" on my rug. Right now I have an old red rug that I found in my school's attic that has fallen apart and been torn as the year has gone on. The rug is too small for everyone in my class to sit on and is very poor quality. It would benefit my students greatly to have such a cool rug to sit on and even use to learn music in class!
