This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm a first-year elementary (K-6) music teacher with mostly bare shelves that would be so much more exciting and engaging with a variety of musical instruments, manipulatives, and other musical tools to help with learning. I have carefully selected items that I can use in specific lesson plans to teach pitch, rhythm, timbre, texture, music theory, music history and culture, and more!

Music is for everyone!

With a few more tools such as Boomwhackers, drums, and scarves, I can make music more accessible, and I will be more likely to have positive engagement from my students.
