Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager to explore various mediums in the art room but unfortunately we do not have enough painting and drawing supplies available for all of the children.
I am lucky to teach about 500 creative and energetic students in grades Kindergarten through fourth.
We are a public inner city school with a high poverty rate. Despite the many challenges that our students face, they come to school enthusiastic and ready to learn.
My Project
My student's imaginations come alive when we set up various drawing and painting projects in art class. You can feel the excitement as they take their place at their tables. They will be able to learn about the visual arts curriculum and various artists while fostering their own creativity. I am requesting watercolor paper and paints to use in art class.
My students put their best effort into their artwork and deserve quality supplies.
They are always excited to share their work with other students and teachers in the spring art show. I am proud of my students and love to provide a opportunity for them to be proud of themselves.
