My students are eager to learn reading, comprehension, writing and spelling in my first grade classroom. This year my colleagues and I are team teaching. I love it, so far. However, it is a challenge to meet all my students learning needs without dependable technology.
I am teaching 36 First Graders.
We live in a small town where many of my students receive free or reduced lunches. Many want to learn, but their home lives make it difficult. Most of my students only have access to computers and other technology at school, which might suffice, if our technology weren't so outdated.
My Project
We need a Chromebook laptop, laptop carrying case, Leapster GS Explorer, headphones and batteries. Providing my students with not only dependable technology, but also modern technology, will enhance my students learning experience as well as prepare them for future careers. Technology will encourage and help my students learn to read independently with fun and interactive games.
This donation will provide my students with a means to learn, which in turn will improve my students confidence in learning.
Technology reaches and is intriguing to all students. Students learn in a variety of ways and technology provides students the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
