Electricity is Exciting! Learning to Build Circuits At Home
Help me give my students supplies for an at-home science experiment about building electrical circuits in a safe way!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. B.'s classroom raised $167

My Students
I teach science at a school full of fun and excited students who are always ready to learn! They have such a wide variety of interests that make learning and interacting with one another an experience that is always full of new surprises.
They are always looking for new ways to get more information about science and its related topics.
The students at my school need more hands-on and real-life project based learning experiences to not only solidify what they learn in class, but extend their learning to build a basis in STEM topics.
My Project
In a few weeks, students will be learning about electricity & magnetism. This is an exciting time for students to make real-world connections and see how electricity plays such a major role in our daily lives. This project will help students understand the components of electrical circuits and how to build a functioning circuit.
One of the best ways for students to learn scientific concepts is through hands-on learning, so these materials will be prepped in kits that the students can use at home during our live lessons!
Students will be able to build their own circuit during our video meetings.
This project will be particularly helpful for my special needs students who are kinesthetic/tactile learners who solidify learning concepts through touch.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
