Electric String Instruments

Help me give my students electric string instruments so we can have a complete electric quintet. These instruments would be used by HS and advanced JH students to play pop, rock, and country music.

My Project

Having electric instruments will allow orchestra students to explore contemporary styles such as pop, rock, and country music. We currently have an electric violin, viola, and bass, but need a 2nd violin and cello to be able to play as an ensemble. Electric instruments allow the orchestra to perform in places traditional instruments cannot, including parade floats, sporting events, and outdoor venues.

Once we have a complete set, interested high school and advanced junior high students can volunteer to be part of the Electric ensemble which will focus on learning alternative string styles outside of regular class time.

Electric instruments help students refine their skills such as playing in tune and with confidence.
