Electric String Instruments Needed for Our Modern Orchestra!

Help me give my students an electric viola and electric violins for our Modern Orchestra ensemble! This will enable my students to explore more modern music making and learn skills that they need in today’s music landscape.

My Project

The electric violins, viola, and pick ups will allow the students in our Modern Orchestra to explore music performance in Jazz and Rock styles with amplification. These instruments will provide an authentic experience for my students. Students will be able to plug into amplification and explore sound effects in performances for our school community and greater community through the Syracuse area.

My students love learning to play in eclectic styles!

The electric instruments and pick ups will allow for greater versatility in student performances and exposure to more styles both for the Modern Orchestra and students in Nottingham High School in the orchestra program.

My students are inner city students in Title 1 schools all across Syracuse. The students in the Modern Orchestra who will benefit from this project are from 5 different schools throughout Syracuse. My students are highly motivated and have tons of potential. They would be so grateful for the opportunity to work with these instruments and supplies.
