My Project
I have been struggling with how to help students understand electric fields without some high-quality equipment. The Van de Graaf generator and the electroscopes will help kids grasp the concepts of attraction and repulsion of subatomic particles. Additionally, the concepts of charging objects through conduction and induction are difficult because they can't see the particles. Using the Van de Graaf generator has been recommended by many as a memorable way for students to understand these concepts. I'm hoping it will also help to inspire kids to pursue science and engineering as a field of study.
