My Project

Your donation will support a high needs group of English learners in our Title 1 school. These 4th and 5th graders fell far behind during Covid and are struggling at 1-3 grades below where their reading levels should be. We find the students are highly motivated to read and speak through our drama and reading program. Reader’s theater, books and play scripts will help develop fluency, expression, focus, reading comprehension and collaborative creativity while cultivating confidence and English language acquisition. The nutritional snacks provide energy throughout the activities when students experience food scarcity at home.
