Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The egg incubator will offer my PreK students a unique, hands-on experience that brings science to life in a way that is engaging and age-appropriate. By watching the eggs hatch, they will learn about life cycles, growth, and change in very tangible ways. This will also help them develop their observation skills, as they will get to notice the small changes happening each day. The incubator will make the learning process fun and exciting, fostering curiosity and a sense of wonder in the world around them.

My goal is to ignite a love for science in my students at a young age.

The hatching process is an exciting event that will inspire questions and exploration, encouraging them to learn more about the world. It will also foster a sense of responsibility and care. Taking care of the incubator and observing the eggs daily will help my students learn patience and importance of caring for living things.

My PreK student are full of excitement and wonder about the world around them. They are naturally eager and curious to explore new things, and they learn best through hands-on activities. They may not have had many opportunities to witness something as miraculous as a chick hatching, so this project will offer them a rare, memorable experience that will inspire their love for learning. Their imagination and enthusiasm make them perfect for this type of project, and I know they will be excited to see the magic of life unfold before their eyes.
