My Students
I teach at an inner-city title one middle school. I made this decision because I felt that I would impact more students in this setting. I feel that representation is extremely important and I am overjoyed that I'm able to serve as a role model for our youth.
I take pride in my craft as an educator and hope to inspire my students to achieve their dreams!
Demographically, my students are African American and Hispanic. They are faced with obstacles everyday, however they strive to always do their best and persevere. I'm excited to see the continued growth and success that they will display!
My Project
Due to the impacts of Covid-19 my school district has committed to virtual learning for at least the first semester. In order for me to establish a safe space that is conducive to teaching and learning a few essential items are needed. The monitors, keyboard, and mouse will allow me to deliver instruction to the various learners I teach including English language learners, students with disabilities, and general education students. The science fair handbook will allow me to conduct at home experiments with my students while exposing them to scientific inquiry skills.
