This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

During this Coronavirus crisis, everyone is unsure of how our school days, or should I say school 'daze', will look. Currently all we know is that what we knew as normal has changed. The normal 5 day of 24-33 students in a class is not attainable due to spatial issues in the classroom. We learned so much in the last few months where we went from being physically in the classroom to having to Zoom, to be able to see and learn from each other.

This year we need to get ready so that students have what they need for two possible scenarios; continue fully online learning or some kind of hybrid model.

The students from my school are dealing with so many factors each day, and are learning to navigate their new normal. Some are faced with the threat of homelessness due to their families being laid off. Others have issues with being able to access technology and connectivity. What I have learned from our resilient students is that no matter what, they all want to feel successful, loved, seen, and validated. They still give 100% of themselves and roll with the punches.

My Project

The iPad and accessories will make this teacher's delivery of instruction a little easier. Being that we will more than likely have a hybrid educational model, I will have to deliver instruction from both school and home.

The iPad and its accessories will make it easier to deliver instruction from home without having to lug the district laptop to and from school.

I will be able to seamlessly go from home instruction to school instruction. I will need the Apple Pencil in order to write on the digital whiteboard without the messiness of having to try and write on the screen with my finger.
