Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in special education with a learning disability in reading and math. My students are visuals and hands-on learners. They love to learn new things through visual arts and crafts project. In order to be successful my students needs visual ques and prompts.

Most of my students are in low income households.

Most of them struggle to read on level. They need additional support to keep their attention on the task at hand. Most of my students need tangible items in their hands to understand concepts.

My Project

The TV will be connecting to the teacher laptop for interactive learning through a program called Study Island. Students and the teacher will log in , the teacher can display questions, and students can answer the questions through live interactive learning. Students answers will only be seen by the teacher. This will give the quiet students the opportunity to answer questions without being singled out. This also give students the opportunity to poll their answers and questions to the whole class for clarification. The TV will keep their focus longer than a regular white board. The TV and the components are hands-on learning with a modern day twist to enhance students knowledge through technology.
