My students need wireless mice, head phones, speakers, to be able to hear the portable smart board and a Chromebook for all day access for the ESOL students.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach science and social students to 6th, 7th and 8th graders in a Title I school where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch due to their social economic status. Our school is located in a high poverty area in Philadelphia.
Despite the daily challenges facing these students, they come to school eager and willing to learn.
I would like to be able to provide for my students the appropriate tools to ensure that they receive a quality education.
My Project
Our school is equipped with some technology that we use for our several intervention programs. These programs are individualized and very helpful for the progress of our students.
We also have a large ESOL population, and there is a need for those students to have access, at all times, during the day, to a laptop in order for them to become more proficient in English, to complete daily assignments and to increase their interventions programs levels.
I have found some students prefer to use wireless mice, which helps them to complete their assignments with ease. We are also in need of headphones so that the students are able to complete interventions without being distracted by other's computer sounds or distraction from students around them. An additional Chromebook would benefit my students because it will allow extra time to complete their assignments.
These items will help our students to be able to complete intervention levels, to show progress, and prepare them for the next grade.
