Educational Gaming at Its Finest

My Students

My first grade class consists of 23 students with a wide range of academic abilities. We have several students with special needs, as well as those that qualify as gifted. We celebrate each students' abilities and teach kindness and collaboration in our classroom. Our school is a national certified STEM school. We have received the A+ School of Excellence distinction three consecutive times.

My Project

The lessons from Osmo will provide our first-grade students with a solid foundation in the field of Computer Science and hopefully spark an interest that will lead them to future computer science opportunities. Students will begin to see themselves as active participants in the digital community who are more than tech consumers but are tech creators.

Through their spelling, math, and problem-solving games, Osmo will help my students reinforce concepts taught in Math and Language Arts using engaging technology.

We would have access to lessons that will benefit our students across a wide variety of curricular areas. Their lessons in Coding and Engineering would also be a benefit to my students at our STEM school.
