My Students
My students are first graders and excited every day to learn. They are coming from a half-day kindergarten program, so this is their first year of all-day school.
My students are excited to learn and excited to work hard.
We are learning to read and to explore the world around us. We need supplies and books to help us see the world.
Students are learning to read so adding language arts games and supplies is exciting for my students. Daily we work in small groups and reinforce reading and reading skills language art activities are great for us.
We use white board daily to assess what each students is understanding and thinking.
My Project
Daily my students write on white boards and share with a partner, the teacher, and the class what they are learning. Being able to quickly see what the students are thinking and doing helps me assess what they are currently understanding and what we need to review and go over again because they are not understanding.
Having educational games for language art centers is a fun and exciting way for students to learn.
We learn sight words, CVC words, and silent e words in 1st grade.
Puzzles are great as fast finishers and they keep students engaged. Puzzles keep students thinking and reasoning as the solve them.
