My Students

My students are eager learners just waiting for the right tools to help them succeed. It will be a whole new type of schooling when we return to the classroom, the new normal. My students will be nervous and apprehensive. I teach at a Title I school which means that more than 40% of the students are a part of a low-income household. This means many of my students will not have their own supplies to bring to school. This is a dynamic that impacts student learning and what makes my job of providing a positive learning environment for children more important.

My Project

My students each lunch earlier in the day I would like to offer a snack to keep them focused on the their lesson. The snacks will help to curve their appetite until the end of the school day. These snacks will go a long way with helping my scholars to stay on track. The headphones will help block out any background noise while the students are working independently on their computers.

We try our best to provide our students who experience challenges at home with a safe, loving and welcoming learning environment.
