Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The majority of my students come from low income and underprivileged families. They come from the exact same neighborhood I was raised when I was their age. Amidst all their struggles they still want to learn and have the same resources that other kids their age may have in other parts of NYC. They are developing wonderful personalities and have a lot to say. Love them to pieces. I know they will appreciate any help they can get because it shows them someone cares.
My Project
Some parents are forced to make the decision to sent their kids to school, even if its two days because they have no other means to do remote learning. So having the necessary safety equipment will alleviate the stress from parents, students and colleagues. It is better to be safe than sorry. Please help me ensure my classroom has sufficient PPE for my students. It would be sad for a child to choose not coming to school because of the lack of PPE. Hope you can understand the urgency of making this project come true.
