Ecosystems and Merge Cubes, Oh My!

My Project

To encourage students to explore more topics in the library and to choose non-fiction books as rewards, I would like to have Merge Cubes ready. These amazing cubes are viewed through augmented reality on iPads to make the learning of topics, like biomes and our world, hands-on and exciting.

Viewing our world and animals via AR makes the learning more interesting, resulting in the desire to learn more. I would like to use Merge Cubes and our iPads to provide students the opportunity to view the world in a new way to grab their interest.

This project supports my previous projects to give students more hands-on learning and supporting their reading with non-fiction books and understanding of the world beyond their front door. "In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught." (Baba Dioum, 1968.)
