Help me give my students two ecosphere's for our classroom. These spheres would help students learn about the delicate balances of ecosystems by giving them an opportunity to engage with a small ecosystem in our own classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a primarily Hispanic area on the South Side of Chicago. Many of the students speak two languages, with some students even being new to the United States. My students come to class everyday excited to learn more about the world around them and how the world works.
In our class, we love to take a hands on approach to science.
We have already done experiments that compared sprouting seeds in a closet VS a window sill while charting their growth along the way, in order to determine what best suits a plants needs. We have also been fortunate to work with programs such as Mighty Acorns, and Rush Medical in Chicago to give the students a real world hands on experience.
The Next Generation Science Standards put an emphasis on how life systems are interconnected. We are currently focused on ecosystems and the function that each organism plays to ensure a healthy and self-sustaining habitat. Taking a hands on approach and being able to show a real world scenario that show the intricacies of each organism interacting with its environment would help continue to establish our hands on approach that we take in our science lessons.
My Project
The EcoSpheres would give students a chance to observe ecosystems at work in real time. By making observations and drawing conclusions about the ecosystem contained inside the small sphere's students would be able to infer how delicate the balance of ecosystems are, as well as making the connection that living things depend on one another for survival. These would also allow us to make the conclusion that we can attribute life on Earth to the sun for allowing plants to photosynthesize while giving us oxygen to breathe as the by product of photosynthesis. The spheres would allow our science class to look behind the scenes at life science as it happens right before our eyes!
