My Students
Albert Einstein said, "The important thing is not to stop questioning; curiosity has its own reason for existing."
This project will allow the students to continue their questioning within the world of science.
Most of them come from low-income households (75% are receiving free or reduced-price lunches) and several are struggling to meet our grade-level expectations.
I can see the love of learning in their eyes and it shows in their work. I always have a classroom full of kids that for the most part give a great effort to succeed, but I feel could do so much more if reliable resources were available.
My Project
These two kits will be an important part of our end of school year curriculum. The kits will be a key piece to allowing us to explore pollination and erosion in our world.
Both kits work together to give the students a closer look at the world around them. The Earth erosion kit gives the opportunity for our classroom to explore soil, erosion, decomposition and waste. Students will have the opportunity to create questions, investigate and experiment with how to improve soil health. The pollination kit will allow the students to have an up-close look at bugs and seeds and butterflies. Students will be able to observe the process and the importance of how those insects play a critical part in our world.
These kits will make a great addition to our inquiry units and allow students to be hands-on with their investigations.
Your donation to this project will hopefully inspire inquisitive and innovative students that are eager to make a positive change in their world.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
