Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These supplies will help my students create an Ecocolumn Project that will help them understand an ecosystem, an aquatic biome, and a small garden. This will bring Environmental Systems alive in the classroom and allow them to have a hands-on learning experience. I believe being able to take care of their fish and their garden along with testing the waters pH levels will help them understand how the biogeochemical cycles work on Earth. At the end of year, they will be able to write a lab report on what they learned and what the results were of the Ecocolumn Project.
