My Project

I teach some inquisitive third graders. When Earth Day came and went, we continued to use the knowledge gained from our discussions, experiments and research to help maintain an environmentally classroom and school. Some of the ideas were to go paperless, recycle, appreciate nature, minimizing energy use and collect water for our classroom plants.

Our classroom is the perfect place to practice conservation and eco-friendliness.

As a way to take action to make our classroom more environmentally friendly and to improve our classroom's environmental footprint we discussed the possibly of using eco friendly resources. The STEM Magnetic Building Sticks is made from environmental friendly odorless PP material which is non-toxic, without BPA, and no harmful substances. The ECR4Kids portable lap desk is made of lightweight durable plastic which is easy to carry and engineered to inspire learning in any environment. The seat is GREEN-GUARD (GOLD) certified for low VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Wowza! What other ways can we build on these eco-friendly ideas to create environmental awareness for the next generation?
