My Students

The children in our classroom are preK children with special needs with a wide range of abilities. I enjoy interacting with our preK class and they have been a joy through this trying time. They have been eager to learn and explore even while interacting through Zoom. I would love to be able to give them as many experiences and opportunities for growth as possible while they are in our preK class.

My Project

As we begin our transition back to in-person learning. I would love to have the supplies in the classroom to make their days fun and successful. This will be my students’ first time back in the preschool classroom after a year of virtual learning.

For most of my students, Pre-K is their very first experience in a school, and I am their first teacher.

I want my students to love coming to school to learn. We would have materials to create art and work on our fine motor skills through writing with crayons, markers and dry erase markers and boards. We would be able to a safe and clean place to sit on the foam mats and the

weather/calendar chart to use during circle time.

My school is a Title I school and it serves almost all low-income families, with many students and families speaking English as their second language. One of the ways for me to create a place that is fun and inviting would be to have supplies within the classroom. However, this requires resources that go beyond my teacher's income. I love my students, and they deserve the very best!
