Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Advanced Placement students have had quite a lot thrown at them this year. The pandemic has impacted classes being in-person vs remote for parts of the year, some students having to work from home while quarantining, which have added challenges to already challenging courses.

These students have chosen to take college level courses in a year when we are all relearning what it means to be in school post-covid.

With so many obstacles caused by the pandemic, family circumstances, and more, continuing to challenge yourself academically can feel overwhelming at times. These students have struggled with so much, and we want to reward and highlight the incredible work that these students have actively taken on this year. We want to provide the students taking the AP exams this year with shirts that highlight the work they have done. This way they can show pride in their work around school, as well as build community among others in school who have shared their efforts in AP courses of all subjects. We hope to encourage these students through to the very end of their AP courses and beyond!
